Goals:
To strive to bring the youth of St. John the Evangelist Parish into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through increased participation in the Youth Ministry Program.
Objectives:
1. Prayer & Worship - Provide opportunities
for middle school students to actively participate in
the Mass and in other worship services two times a semester.
Helpstudents develop an active prayer life by offering
various prayer experiences.
2. Service - Provide a variety of group service activities to illustrate the principle of faith in action.
3. Catholic Identity - Provide opportunities to experience the history of the Church and Her traditions by
visiting cathedrals, shrines, and monasteries. Provide opportunities for youth to gather with large groups of
Catholic middle school students at rallies and other Church events.
4. Community - Provide social activities that foster a sense of community while helping the students develop
a supportive group of Catholic peers.
Kids Krusaders:
Goals:
To strive to bring the youth of St. John the Evangelist Parish into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through increased participation in the Youth Ministry Program.
Objectives:
- We will continue to provide an environment where 4th and 5th grade students can interact with one another in a Christ centered environment while teaching them the importance of living out their Catholic faith in their everyday lives.
Seekers:
Goals:
To strive to bring the youth of St. John the Evangelist Parish into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through increased participation in the Youth Ministry Program.
Objectives:
- We will create an environment where 2nd and 3rd grade students can interact with one another in a Christ centered environment.
- We will teach the importance and meaning of the integral Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Reconciliation, as our students prepare to receive them.
Mighty Acorns:
Objectives:
- We will create an environment where Kindergarten and 1st grade students can interact with one another in a Christ centered environment.
- We will begin to instill the foundations of our faith by stories and prayer.
