About the Program:
From a little acorn, a mighty tree can grow! The Mighty Acorns is the SJE Youth Ministry Program for children in Kindergarten and 1st grade. Following our model of a "Continuum of Care", the newest SJE Youth program offers a fun, faith-filled environment where kindergartners and 1st graders can gather and begin to make those friendships that will last through their elementary years and beyond. It is important for these "Mighty Acorns" to have opportunities to grow in friendship and faith, even at an early age.
The Mighty Acorns meet on the 1st Friday of the month
from 6:00-7:15 pm. These events are usually held in
the SJE gym but, please consult the Mighty Acorns Schedule
of Events for the specific location of each event.
Please take a moment to browse through pictures of past Mighty Acorns events. As you can see, the Kindergartners and 1st graders look forward to their monthly events and have a blast every time they meet.

Goals & Objectives:
Goal:
Mighty Acorns will strive to bring the youth of St. John the Evangelist
Parish into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through increased
participation in the Youth Ministry Program.
Objectives:
- We will create an environment where Kindergarten and 1st grade
students can interact with one another in a Christ centered environment.
- We will begin to instill the foundations of our faith by stories and
prayer.
